UK sectors that traditionally employ a large number of EU nationals are starting to experience labour and skills shortages, according to the latest Labour Market Outlook from the CIPD and The Adecco Group.

The latest migration figures from the Office for National Statistics have revealed that net migration stood at 335,000 in the YE June 2016.

London Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) has called on the Government to make certain provisions to allow for practical immigration in London after the UK leaves the EU.

The Government has announced a series of changes to the Immigration Rules, many of which will have an impact on applications made on or after 24th November this year.

Several of the top universities in the UK have raised concerns over the Government’s apparent plans to crack down on the number of overseas students coming to the UK to study as a way of bringing down overall immigration numbers, reports the Guardian.
